Set the condition before adding complexity
Pro field conditions support up to eight AND/OR clauses. Compatible number, date and time comparisons can validate relationships between active answers.
- Name the source question clearly and choose its matching rule.
- Test one matching and one nonmatching answer.
- For a cross-answer comparison, check that both questions are active and nonempty.
Organize the steps
Use named steps only when the task has a useful sequence. Visitors receive Back and Next controls and a progress list.
- Put related questions in the same step.
- Check forward validation and error links.
- Change an earlier answer and verify which later questions remain active.
Check final review and return links
Optional review shows active answers and selected filenames. Edit returns to the original control. Save and resume is a separate temporary seven-day progress feature.
- Open Review and use Edit on a sample answer.
- Check that answers and selected files remain in the current form when moving Back and Edit.
- If enabled, exercise save and resume with a controlled staging example and keep its link private.
Test the fallback paths
Without JavaScript, the public questions appear on one page without step navigation or final review. The server still evaluates conditions and comparisons.
- Try the native submission path with sample answers.
- Submit the cases that select each conditional notification.
- Review the form before disabling Pro: its conditional questions show and Pro comparisons/review pause.
